Watch Netflix remotely with friends or loved-ones
Showgoers is a Chrome Extension that lets you watch Netflix with your friends online and interact while you watch. Starting a watching party is simple and inviting others is as easy as sharing a URL.
When you're in a Showgoers watching party, clicking play/pause or seeking to a specific spot in the movie will cause the Netflix player of everyone else in the watching party to do the same thing.
Don’t have enough friends with Netflix? No problem. Join one of our publicly watching parties and watch a movie or show with other people who share the same taste in movies. See what parties are available here.
To join a watching party you must have access to that movie in the first place. This also means that you can’t be blocked from watching the movie of the watching party due to regional restrictions.
Showgoers manages the watching parties by using a browser extension. Currently we support only Chrome but hopefully soon we’ll support others.
To create a watching party, just navigate to a movie on Netflix, hover over the Showgoers logo in the movie area, and click “Start Watching Party”
Remember, to create or join a watching party you must have access to that movie in the first place, meaning you’ll need a valid Netflix account. This also means that you can’t be blocked from watching the movie of the watching party due to regional restrictions.
